Evaluating Collinearity¶
Transit agencies have wide flexibility in designing their networks. Where we determine multiple routes are providing a combined service, we combine their frequencies on the shared segment. See our README for a longer explaination.
We use combined or single-route frequencies as appropriate for our spatial pathway for locating bus intersection Major Transit Stops.
The branching pathway uses exclusively single-route frequencies, so we always calculate both.
